Higher Education Careers Information Advice and Guidance Curriculum (Learner Progression Framework)

It has been demonstrated that one of the most effective methods of ensuring high aspirations and increased level of progression to HE, is to develop an appropriate HECIAG curriculum. The curriculum should provide up to date information on HE for parents, learners, teaching and support staff. The curriculum should also include specific information and experiential activity for each year group and particular target groups at key points in their learning journey.  The target groups can include learners identified as G&T, Aimhigher Cohorts, those with specific learning difficulties, Learners in Care, those that are able to go onto HE, but have barriers to achieving and progressing.

Based on our experience of good practice with schools and colleges in South London we can provide a service to:

  • Assess the current HECIAG curriculum offer and its effectiveness
  • Provide a report on the areas of strength and suggest areas for development
  • Support the school or college in carrying out an appropriate Action Plan
