Gifted and Talented (G&T) Target Group Activities

We gather information from schools and colleges on those learners that have potential to progress onto the most selective universities and courses. This enables universities to be alerted to appropriate learners within schools and colleges and support their progression.

We support schools and colleges in providing preparation activities with these universities in the most cost effective way. This can be subject and/or university focussed.

To do this we:

• Collect information on G&T learners
• Track progression of G&T learners
• Identify the most competitive universities and courses for those  learners with the greatest potential to progress
• Identify competitive universities and courses that provide learner activity and progression support by subject.
• Link high potential learners in schools  to appropriate university activity in a cost effective way
• Provide activity to prepare for university entry to the most competitive courses and universities eg Oxbridge exam preparation
• Organise staff development to support learners in applications to the most competitive universities
